Task
Track the weight of backlinks for link builders and SEOs — see which links hold their weight and which have lost it over time.
What came before
A set of Python scripts, each for its own piece of the process. The first ran through a list from Excel, the second parsed search results, the third checked link indexing, the fourth collected the result into a new Excel file, the fifth built reports and dashboards.
Now one service does the same thing — instead of five-plus scripts run by hand one after another.
How it's built
I wrote it from scratch myself, in Claude Code, with no development team.
What worked
The service is running, monetized and has active clients.
What didn't work
The AI features laid out in the roadmap are not shipped. The reason isn't technical — they don't pay for themselves.
The API subscriptions they need cost more than 200 dollars a month in total, and the project's net profit for a month is less than that. While the cash gap holds, the features wait.
